5 WAYS TO MAKE YOUR WEDDING MORNING GO SMOOTHLY
Have your hair and makeup done at the venue or very close by. I know how important it is to find a hair and makeup gal you trust on your big day! Having them close by or right at the venue makes for smooth sailing when your bridesmaids are arriving and everyone is taking turns with curling irons and mirrors. Having a little extra time by doing this all at the venue eases the timeline just a little and it’s less driving for your girls, you, and your photog 😉
The special time girls spend getting ready on a wedding day is full of emotions as your closest ladies watch you prepare to say yes. Sometimes there’s cheering with champagne and T-Swift and other times there’s silent cheering beaming from the teary eyes of a mother. Having some little donuts, some cute mimosas and music is a great way to keep this time of the day special and fun!
OR Put a bridesmaid or your mama in charge of fielding vendors. Honestly, a lot of my couples have awesome mothers who hustle behind the scenes and field logistics (or have some good mama friends to help them!) But I love to see moments where mothers and bridesmaids really get to enjoy the day and savor the moments while someone like a planner can take care of the vendors and timing. Either way, just take a little time before the big day to delegate some of these tasks so that you can fully embrace and enjoy your wedding day!
Brides! I can not yell this one from the rooftops loud enough! Eat some breakfast and please eat some lunch! We know that lots of brides have some nervous little tummies on wedding day but we promise you that you will feel much better having a little somethin-somethin in your tummy and staying well hydrated! And it doesn’t stop there, please take time at your reception as well to rest, relax with your sweetie and enjoy some yummy food! This way you avoid a late night trip to Taco Bell in your wedding dress cause after a long night of dancing, sometimes there’s not much else open!
When we get done “getting ready” in the morning, have a bridesmaid help you gather any items you need to take with you at the end of the day into a “go bag”. If there are items you want to send with someone else so you can get them when you return from your honeymoon… then give that person a “go bag”! This way when you dance your way through the sparklers at the end of the night, you can GO! Instead of having to double back and pack up those miscellaneous items.
