Our family is in a very busy season of life all around. It’s been a while since we’ve been able to spend time on vacation together and we were determined to at least do an extended weekend somewhere before the summer is over! My husband’s family hosts a vintage tractor show & olden times farm day where we have lots of vendors come to our family farm and show how things used to be done on a farm. There’s everything from tractors to corn planting to wool making and horseshoeing – it’s a great day but a lot of preparation for our family! You can read more about that in my post about the 2017 Thresherman’s Day. Long story short, we decided that after such a long and busy week, it would be the perfect time to go relax for a few days. We ended up making the trip up to Holland, MI and enjoyed biking, the beach and the dutch windmills with lots of beautiful flowers. Before we headed out of town, we made sure to hit the local farmer’s market and left with bags full of blueberry donuts, cherries, plums and some other goodies!
Here’s a few (very few) highlights! I spent most of the time just soaking up the sunshine and decided I probably wouldn’t need to bring my camera along on the 13 mile bike ride 😉
